Decorative beams and architectural foam products require careful handling and specialized freight — and we take that seriously. Our goal is simple: deliver your order safely, efficiently, and with clear expectations from the start.
Because many of our products are oversized, all shipments travel via professional freight carriers rather than standard parcel services.
Flat-Rate Freight Pricing
To keep pricing predictable and avoid complicated freight calculations, FoamTec offers straightforward flat-rate shipping for most beam orders within the continental United States.
Beams up to 16 feet
Orders of 10 beams or fewer ship for a flat rate of $950.
Beams over 16 feet (up to 24 feet)
Orders of 10 beams or fewer ship for a flat rate of $1,150.
Large Orders (More Than 10 Beams)
Projects exceeding 10 beams require a custom freight quote to ensure the safest and most cost-effective delivery method.
Please contact our team directly for a specialized shipping quote.
Note: Flat-rate shipping applies to standard delivery conditions. Remote locations, restricted access sites, or special carrier requirements may require additional coordination.
Delivery Scheduling
Freight carriers typically deliver during normal business hours, generally between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, though exact windows can vary by region and carrier.
Someone must be available to accept the shipment during the scheduled delivery window.
If a delivery is refused during standard delivery hours, the carrier may apply additional charges for redelivery — and those charges are the responsibility of the customer.
If your project requires special timing or site coordination, let us know in advance. We’re happy to help plan ahead whenever possible.
Receiving Your Shipment
Due to the size and protective packaging of our products, orders arrive by truck via common carrier. Proper inspection at delivery is extremely important.
When the Driver Arrives
Before signing for your shipment, please take a few minutes to review the delivery carefully.
✔ Confirm the shipment is yours
✔ Verify job name, PO numbers, and delivery details
✔ Count all pieces of freight
✔ Inspect packaging and contents
✔ Check for visible damage
✔ Confirm the correct items were delivered
Even if your schedule is tight, do not skip this step. A thorough inspection protects you in the rare event that freight damage occurs.
Inspecting for Damage
Please examine all packaging and products immediately upon receipt.
If you notice any damage, missing items, incorrect products, or defects, it must be documented on the Bill of Lading (BOL) while the driver is present.
This notation is critical for filing a successful freight claim.
Signing the Delivery Receipt
When you sign the Bill of Lading without noting damage or discrepancies, the shipment is considered received in perfect condition.
Carriers may deny claims for damage reported after delivery if it was not documented at the time of receipt.
For this reason, FoamTec strongly recommends a careful inspection before signing.
Freight Claims
If damage is discovered after delivery, all freight claims must be initiated within 72 hours.
Please contact our team immediately so we can help guide the process.
